A little update.

Working on a few story submissions for a few magazines that I absolutely love. This may be one of the submissions I’m most confident about so far - that’s exciting. I feel I’m getting better at shooting for something, as opposed to just for shooting, which I also love. There’s a weird and subtle difference that’s taken me a while to grasp.

After shooting with an amazing model, I realize how easily I can be so much more productive. Wishing I could find more really cool beautiful models to work with in the MidWest.

Finally working on a portfolio website. I’m really excited about how it’s coming together. One of the main audiences for it will be modeling agencies. I’ll be sending a preliminary version to a few of you for feedback (let me know if you are interested!).

The photography project I’m most excited about, however, has nothing to do with models. I’ve started work on a project with just my friends in Bloomington - all Mamiya, medium format, black and white, raw, honest, natural, real, amazing people with amazing stories. I’m up most of the night thinking about it. It’s all about the unexpected coolness of the folks in the Midwest. Also about cooperatives.

I’m putting a little more effort into keeping the Facebook page updated and interesting. Happy to have reached 400 followers recently. You should check it out.

Listening to set fire to flames, and dm stith most.

Enjoying the foggy weather in Bloomington. Wouldn’t mind being in the woods with a camera.
